I think it was either in my last year of college or shortly after graduating that one of my friends suggested I go on this site to take all the fun quizzes. Loved all the random quizzes on here! And honestly, wasn't looking for anything except fellow in real life friends to compare quiz results with. Very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink, he would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Some times he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy, the sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical, summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds, pretty standard really. At the age of 12 I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen, a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum, it's breathtaking, I suggest you try it.

I like to go out and play some sports and get a little active. Golf or Riding / Walking around the Beach. Concerts or see what is happening in and around town. And other times just going to a movie or hanging out with friends at happy hour or watching a game.

I love video games, singing, and foreign languages. These three things come together to culminate as my very dreams-- the dreams that guide my life. It's a cool story. I wrote an essay about it in Freshman Composition and got an A. I guess my professor thought so, too.

I've recently decided to go back to school full-time to get my degree in computer science. Hopefully to use it to persue a career in video games. Yup, that pretty much means I'm a nerd and I like nerdy things.

I'm a huge dog person. My golden retriever still lives at my parent's. Whenever I visit she insists I pet her the whole time I'm there :) I'm also an Angel fan. I've lived in HB my whole life (only recently been in FV), I have to cheer for the home team. I try to go to a few games a year. Nothing like being at the games.

I have a two and a half year old nephew I try and visit at least once a week. He's pretty smart and cool. His dad and I plan on taking him to a lot of fishing trips. :)

I'm a pretty laid back person in general, and I hardly say no to new things. I don't travel much but I'd like to in the near future. I just recently went on a spontanious trip to Vegas for a 4 hour stay. I like movies and I do actually go on walks on occasions.

Being content and happy is a choice we all make. Every day brings the opportunity for new experiences. Tolerance of others is key; you do your thing, I'll do mine, and the world keeps spinning! I love a good movie (almost any kind), seeing a good band, museums, anything that stimulates thought. I enjoy making people laugh (including myself), it's absolutely essential. I love weekend adventures, but I also love lazy weekends of lounging.

I'm not a very big fan of drama. In general, I just don't understand it. I've made several friends in my life that turned out to be heavy on drama. While I'd still call them friends, I don't spend much time talking to them any more.

I always wanted to be a gymnast, but my parents didn't have money for lessons growing up. Instead, I got into cheer in high school (I know, right?! cheer?!), and learned to tumble there.

I adore traveling, but I feel too obligated to my job to ever take much time off. Weekend road trips are my savior.

Hey there :) My name is Matthew and let me just introduce myself a little bit. I love to understand and analyze. My mind works on many different levels. I'm usually way out there when it comes to my sense of humor but I just love laughing regardless if it seems I'm the only one that understands the joke :P (doesn't stop me from trying to explain it though). I've also been told that I have extremely fast reflexes. =P I have an abundance of different weapons in my room which I use to practice various martial arts with my sparring buddies.

Im updating my self summary because I sort of half assed it the first time.... To describe myself in this box is such a daunting task, whenever Im put on the spot like this I cant think of anything that can really define me. So ill just name things I enjoy doing and you can fill in the blanks. Im very active and sporty, love to be outdoors, I ADORE the beach, in the day but especially at night, I embrace my time alone, I love sports like most guys do, I love literature and novels, also political books and memoirs, Im a huge music nerd and make it a point to really look hard to find music that really speaks to me, I love films with great cinematography and I love foreign and independent films. I play the guitar and have it by me almost all the time, yet Im not that great at it. Im an avid people watcher and can sit at a bench or at the beach for hours watching others enjoy themselves, I love being around people when the time calls for it and I will make friends with anyone, I love sarcasm, off color jokes and open minded people, I love stimulating conversation, Im in love with my Imac, I love driving alone at night singing at the top of my lungs but chances are youll never hear me sing... theres more to me, theres more I enjoy but this is enough to entice or deter you.

Summarize myself? I guess I would say I'm funny, sarcastic, nerdy (in a good way), professional, positive, courteous, creative, romantic, easy-going.

I work in the travel business, so other lands and other cultures interest me, and traveling to them makes me happy. I love technology, I love film, literature (wish I read more), and good conversation.

I don't know what to say.. I'm quiet.. I may seem disconcerting at first glance.. but once people get to know me they find that I have a great sense of humor although i am a bit goofy... I'm shy but confident, nice but cocky, and a tad bit on the weird side (maybe a lot, you could decide)... I'm down to earth and I tend to get along with pretty much everyone I meet...

I'm a workaholic. I started my first real career type job 2 days after my college graduation. I moved from Orange County up north to the bay area. I hated it there, but that was where my job was. I worked 50-60 hour weeks, including weekends. Then when I finally couldnt' take living up there anymore I decided to leave my job so I could leave the area. I thought I would be able to take a break since I worked so much, but I took a job 3 days after leaving my job up north. I worked in Orange County for a real estate broker and then transferred to Manhattan Beach and continued my workaholic ways working til 8pm or 9pm pretty much every night, but at least not on weekends.

Once the market started going south, the broker decided to close up shop and I was able to have a very long vacation! I enjoyed it very much so for about 9 months then I jumped back on the workaholic bandwagon for a finance company in Fountain Valley. More like a high speed locomotive actually, I was working 15-16 hr days on the weekdays and "only" 12hrs a day on both weekends.

Needless to say, I think a nice break would be in order for me.

I worked as a custom automotive painter for ten years before I realized that there were no rich custom painters, not that being rich is the only thing in life, but I wasn't happy with the fact that I could do so many amazing things to cars and motorcycles except for afford them.

I am a blue collar guy in a white collar world. I can fix, drive and ride anything on wheels and I am dam good at it too.
I love to work with my hands but lately I have been exercising my mind in pursuit of a law degree to upgrade my career.
Clearly I don't have a girlfriend, this is definitely not the first time for that but now for the first time in my life I do not have a job or a motorcycle because I just don't have time for either and I miss both of them. However I can always make time for someone special.

Being the eternal optimist that I am I know that the perfect woman for me is out there and that I will find her, so I am trying to summarize myself in this little box.

Work takes up a huge chunk of my time but itâ??s worth it. I really enjoy it and can see myself doing this in the future. I don't know how I'd feel if my kid wanted to be an accountant tho, lol.

Strong family values are an important trait in a person. I admire someone who's passionate about their family and their career. Wearing their heart on their sleeve is always a plus =)

I have a strong relationship w/ my folks and try to see them as often as I can. Ironically I started getting close w/ my parents as I grew older. I grew up w/ 2 older brothers (yes, I'm the baby :P). I have a pretty strong bond w/ my childhood friends and I think thatâ??s healthy in a relationship.

I'm an optimist when it comes to relationships & people. I'd like to find someone who has the same interests as me, or is interested in doing activities together like painting, double-kayaking, dancing, or even cooking. I enjoy staying in w/ someone and watching a movie w/ a bottle of wine or a home-cooked dinner. I'd like to find someone where we can talk and open w/ each other. 1) I love anime! Yes, I'm putting that as the most important thing on my list. XD If you hate anime, don't bother messaging me. If you don't know what it is or are curious... great, I'd love to introduce you. ;D ... if you already know what it is and like it then Yay. ^_^

2) Video games. Kinda goes with the first one. ^^; But if you don't like them, that's okay too. It's just that my whole family plays them a lot, and I'm pretty good. ;D I'd love to play video games with my man. :) If you hate VGs... I guess don't message me. x_x

3) Bowling, movies, Dave & Busters, etc... I have a lot of other interests that basically fall under the category of "going out and having fun". :) So, if you like that, that's a plus too. ^^

4) FAMILY. Should actually be higher than this but... Yeah. My family is VERY important to me. They are my number one. So you must be ready to accept that and maybe even work a bit to get yourself on an equal field to them. ;D I spend weekends with them and we take a family vacation once a year together... It's something I look forward to every year. So, be prepared to be entering into a relationship with a girl who is very close to her family and very defensive about it too.

5) A bit insecure..... I guess I should throw this out there now. I'm very outgoing and love to talk and hang out in groups best. I don't mind having some one-on-one time with my man, but I'm a little nervous about it. Some people have said I seem like a different person... I don't know. I suppose I'm a bit phobic when it comes to getting really close to someone... :-/ It's not one of my better qualities, but it's one of my qualities.

6) I NEED to be chased. If you're the type who likes to sit back and make the other person do all of the work in the relationship then I gaurantee that we won't last more than 2 or 3 months max. I get insecure when I'm not being pursued... and may even begin to pull away unconsiously to see if you'll chase me. It may seem selfish, and it's something I've been working on but... I gaurantee you that if you can make it past that stage and actually become a significant person in my life... that it is WELL worth it all. I'm one of the most loyal people I know. And when someone is REALLY important to me, I do a lot for them and constantly go out of my way for them.
